Easter Greetings to you all!
Did you know that the church year celebrates Easter for 50 full days? What a gift to celebrate this most important milestone and cornerstone of faith for a full 7 weeks. At Shobi’s Table, many aspects of our ministry life are reflecting this season of joy. Both of our new staff members have begun, and let me tell you, they are already doing a stellar job! Tina has taken the reigns of many communications and finance projects that are setting this ministry up for success. Renee has easily stepped into the rhythms of our cooking life leading volunteers, managing inventory and creating menus I know our community will enjoy.
Just a few months ago I remember leaning into trust that the Holy Spirit was leading us in a time of transition, allowing us to say goodbye to some staff members and preparing for new ones. When I step back to look at our entire journey as a whole, from re-starting Shobi’s Table as a pay-as-you-can cafe in 2018 all the way to now, I see that the Spirit has made a way for growth both through the waiting of winter and the arrival of spring. The right people have come at the right time, and I am so grateful for each and every one of them. In this new season of Shobi’s Table, I know that I can again trust that the resurrection words of Julian of Norwich are true- “All shall be well. All shall be well. All manner of things shall be well.” Stepping into this new season, we can lean into celebrating the length, breadth and depth of Resurrection in our lives.

Renee Roeber – Kitchen and Community Manager
Though I am new to Shobi’s Table, food ministry has been part of my life for a long time. Going to culinary school and working for various organizations I am excited to join the Shobi’s Table family making delicious meals and building relationships with the community.
In my free time I love spending time outdoors, hiking, rollerblading, swimming and canoeing, If I am outside there is a good possibility, I have my cat with me! He loves to explore the outdoors. During the winter months you can find me reading, crocheting, and in the kitchen cooking up something delicious!
Volunteers are needed to fill all shifts
Kitchen Shifts
Mondays and Wednesday – 3:30-5:30pm
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays – 9am-noon
